If you're a regular reader, you'll know that I go to Bournemouth University. Every year they host a bit 12 hour festival for all the students, and in case you hadn't guessed already, everyone goes in fancy dress! After much deliberation, some of my friends and I decided to go as World War II land army women. Such a great idea, I felt like a pin up girl (which is a secret dream of mine but shhh...). Anyway, we had some great performances going on in the huge tents you can see in the first picture; Netsky, Feeler and Dot Rotten just to name a few, and in other tents there was plenty of great music and horrendous fast food!
Having never been to a festival before, this was a little taster for me and I had a great time! Sadly, everyone else went to the beach to make the 'survivors' photo at 5am, but I had to revise today and decided to go to bed - a decision which I'm now regretting! I really apologise for the rubbish photo quality, I decided not to bring a camera and just used my iPhone instead.
In other news, my exams finish this week! Sadly I'm not really as prepared for them as I would like to be, but I still have a day to cram before my first one! Everyone else has finished theirs, so the journalism students are definitely in the mindset to enjoy summer - its so hard to focus! I am, however, going to my first blogging event next Saturday! Its called 'The Only Way Is Blogging', and it sounds fantastic. I'm really looking forward to meeting some new people too, but I will be going alone so if any of you are going and see me wandering around aimlessly, please come and say hi!
Does your university host events like this? What did you make of our costumes?
