polka dots & a pinny

Blouse: Topshop / Pinafore: River Island / Hat: H & M / Necklace: Primark / Rings: Miss Selfridge/Vintage
I am well aware that I look like Charlie Chaplin in this post. I popped this on for an afternoon of shopping and coffee with my mother the other day, and didn't even think of it until she pointed it out. Brilliant.

Regardless, this shirt is one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe. I talked about it in a haul video a little while ago, but have only just got round to posting about it since the weather picked up too much to be wearing a shirt. I just love the way it fits - it's just oversized enough to wear with leggings, but not too large to make me look like a bag of washing if I tuck it into anything.

I had always avoided pinafores in the past as I'm incredibly short and like to avoid looking like a dwarf as much as possible. I did, however, really like this River Island one. I had to order it in a teeny tiny size for it to even be above my knees, but it fits really well and I like the fact that it's not short enough to make me look like a 12-year-old. I tied everything in with a bowler and some gold jewellery to toughen up the look a little bit and make it a little less school-girlish.

Also, meet my little dog, Marley. I think he's only appeared once on the blog before, so it was about time he showed his fluffy little face! He was irritating me so much that I had to pick him up to get it out from under my feet.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed a long overdue outfit post! Let me know what you think of this look!
